ENERPLAN

 

In April 2013 between Viva Pautalia Association and the Directorate General “Teritorial Cooperation Management” within the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works was concluded a Subsidy Contract awarding the project ENERPLAN: Platform for ENERgy PLANning. The project  overall objective is to promote stronger integration of the cross-border territory by implementing a pack of energy efficiency and planning measures for a balanced and sustainable development of the region. Viva Pautalia is implementing ENERPLAN in partnership with the Municipalities of Kostinbrod, Bulgaria and Dimitrovgrad – Serbia.

 

Biotechnologies

Viva Pautalia is interested in the promotion and transfer of innovative biotechnologies in the field of cultivation and different industry application of micro algae. 

Green Procurement

Green Public Procurement (GPP) is defined as "a process whereby public authorities seek to procure goods, services and works with a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle when compared to goods, services and works with the same primary function that would otherwise be procured.”
Public authorities are major consumers in Europe: they spend approximately 2 trillion euros annually, equivalent to some 19% of the EU gross domestic product. By using their purchasing power to choose goods and services with lower impacts on the environment, they can make an important contribution to sustainable consumption and production.
As GPP is a voluntary instrument, Viva Pautalia efforrts in this field are directed towards the promotion of GPP by developing innovative approaches and transferring knowlegde, with emphasis to the importance of green procurement and the benefits that it brings. 

Sustainable Energy Planning

Individuals expectations for a better living standard should be in accordance with a balanced regional development, based on protection and sustainable use of the available resources. People need modern and well structured practical tools for analysis and synthesis of the information related to climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy. Our efforts in this field are directed towards increasing the willingness of local community  for environmental protection and nature conservation by developing above mentioned tools.
